The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Demonstrate Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering regarding Sony's platform unprecedentedly. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft remains determined to draw people in with quality releases on its key platform.

The Immediate Additions

The duo of games that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from typical Ubisoft design with a space-faring criminal escapade. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, previously described as "a superb mixture of horror and action."

Compelling Indie Titles

However, the more modest titles coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year may draw you in within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — transforming them into ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
