A Pair of Suspects Charged with Prison Murder of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
